Détails de l'évènement
From September to November 2012, Aurélien Débat, a Marseille-based author and illustrator, did a creative residency with our fellow silkscreen printers from Nicole Crême studio. In collaboration with the architect Marc Kauffmann, Aurélien Débat multiplied architectural forms to create a graphic alphabet that can be combined, stacked and layered to build and draw real and imaginary cities.
This work was developed into a silkscreen print (graphic exercise sheets) with Nicole Crême, and then into stamps to create a city within the Studio Fotokino. After two weeks of on-site production, we opened the Studio’s doors so that people could visit this city as well as participate in its construction by stamping as they pleased. On Saturday 10th, Aurélien Débat and Marc Kauffmann made themselves construction site managers by accompanying the public in this graphic proliferation enterprise, around an inaugural brunch. And the next day, Aurélien offered a “Tamponville” workshop in the company of a group of young builders.
