About
Fotokino regularly publishes works imagined in close collaboration with the artists we invite. Creative spaces on paper, these objects take a renewed form each time: from a monographic catalog to a zine, these books are considered as artists’ projects on paper. Our collection is also enriched by various productions and publications: books, posters, engravings, silkscreens, postcards…
On another note, we have been surveying micro-publishing fairs in France and elsewhere since 2018. The opportunity for us to travel, to meet you and for you to find our editions during these regular meetings!
All of our publications can be found at Studio Fotokino, in bookstores and on our online store.
The books
Nathalie Du Pasquier, Philippe Weisbecker, Paul Cox, Mari Kanstad Johnsen… The exhibitions of the Studio Fotokino are regularly accompanied by the publication of a book. Considered as artist’s projects on paper, these books take a new form each time. They are all available on our online store.
The Posters
This collection is constantly being enriched with new publications, whether exhibition posters, festival posters or large format prints. Images created by Jesús Cisneros, Jochen Gerner, Atak, Benoît Bonnemaison-Fitte, Amélie Jackowski, Paul Cox, Icinori, Kitty Crowther, Paolo Ventura, Isidro Ferrer, Gwenola Carrère, Blexbolex, Mari Kanstad Johnsen, Yann Kebbi… to name a few.
Most of them are 50 x 70 cm, so it is risky and expensive to send them by post… That’s why you won’t find them on our online store. You have to come to the Studio to discover them, or find us on the exhibitions!
The estampe collection
First, there is our collection of images printed in Risography: in partnership with Riso France, Fotokino has a duplicator and regularly publishes prints (A3 format), as well as small works by artists (Alaric Garnier, Laurence Lagier, Ariadne Breton-Hourcq, Super Terrain, Roméo Julien, Nigel Peake, Aurélien Débat…)
And then, for years, Nicole Crême’s expert hands have been lovingly preparing serigraphs in various formats, with Mari Kanstad Johnsen, Atak, Jesús Cisneros, Isidro Ferrer, Jochen Gerner, etc. The prints are very limited, and the few remaining copies can be found at the Studio.
Workbooks
Fotokino offers activity books for children and adults. These creative workshops, to be done at home alone or with a friend, will allow you to discover old and recent techniques to produce images beyond drawing. The workbooks are available for download in two versions: an interactive color version (including hyperlinks), and a black and white version to print.
