Fotokino

Paul Cox is a versatile artist: painter, poster designer, graphic designer, children’s book author, illustrator for the press, costume designer for the theatre, inventor of games and alphabets… He plays with subjects, materials and medium with a childlike ease, in the manner of his famous predecessors Munari, Schwitters or Schlemmer.

The exhibition “Projection”  presented at the District gallery, in Marseilles, as part of Laterna magica 2005, a chromatic installation made up of a hundred or so spray and stencil paintings, displayed in sequence, which evoke both the storyboard of an abstract film and a board of flags.
